Founded in 2000, GO FILMS is a Montreal film production boutique that specializes in independent movies.

Innovative and eclectic, GO FILMS catalogue is rich with 19 features. Among them, 7 are millionnaires on the Québec scene alone and most of them won prestigious awards on both national and international stages.

GO FILMS is also known for discovering and launching the career of many screenwriters, directors and actors.

GO FILMS recently released King Dave, opening film at Montreal Fantasia Film Festival and winner of the AUDIANCE AWARD FOR BEST CANADIAN FEATURE, and Nelly, inspired by the life and works of Nelly Arcan, written and directed by Anne Émond, that will be released in January 2017.

Nicole Robert
Founder and president of Go Films, Nicole Robert produced 29 features and the TV series  La vie, la vie.

Nominated for BEST FILM, 5 times at the Genie Awards, once at the Canadian Screen Awards, 4 times at the Jutra Awards and twice at the Gemini Awards, she wins, the Jutra Awards for BEST FILM with Québec-Montréal, the Gemini Awards for BEST DRAMA SERIES with LA VIE, la vie, the Olivier Awards for BEST COMEDY with Horloge biologique, the Award for BEST CANADIAN FILM in Toronto for Requiem pour un beau sans coeur and the GOLDEN REEL AWARD with her first feature film La Guerre des tuques.

Eight of her films hit the million mark at the Québec box office All screened internationally in over one hundred festivals and received prestigious awards. Among them Québec Montréal (opening feature at La Semaine du cinema du Québec in Paris, Golden Bayard for BEST SCREENPLAY and SPECIAL JURY AWARD at the Namur Film Festival), Sur le seuil (Gerardmer Fantastic Film Festival), Horloge Biologique (TIFF), Tout est parfait (Berlinale, Panorama section, GRAND JURY AWARD at the Seattle International Film Festival, Golden Bayard for BEST SCREENPLAY in Namur), 1981 (Opening Feature at the FFM, Roma Film Festival), Les 7 jours du Talion (Sundance), La peur de l'eau (Cristal Award for BEST FILM in Liege). 

Nicole Robert was honoured at the Gala des Femmes du cinéma, de la télévision et des nouveaux médias, for her lifelong achievement and contribution to the industry. She also was honoured by the Quebec Cinema Owners Association for her career.

She is also known for discovering new talents.

King Dave, her third collaboration with Daniel Grou (Podz), released in July 2016, was the opening film at Fantasia Film Festival and winner of the AUDIENCE AWARD FOR BEST CANADIAN FILM.

Nicole recently produced Nelly, inspired by the life and works of Nelly Arcan, written and directed by Anne Émond, that will be released in January 2017.

Before launching her first production company, Lux Films, Nicole was a graphic designer, and worked on animated shorts for 10 years, with Les Films Québec Love and Animabec as founder and president.

In 2003, after a Law Degree, Communication studies and several jobs within cultural organizations, Pascal Bascaron founded METAFILMS with Sylvain Corbeil.

Between 2004 and 2010, he produces several short films that stand out both at the national and international level : Corps étranger, Le Pont, Quelques éclats d’aube, Une chapelle blanche (Jutra for BEST SHORT FILM), Les eaux mortes (Jutra for BEST SHORT FILM), Le silence nous fera écho, Code 13, La battue, Jour sans joie.

In 2011, he produces his first feature film, Laurentie by Simon Lavoie and Mathieu Denis. In 2013, he produces Diego Star by Frédéric Pelletier, that won 8 prizes in international film festivals and 5 nominations at the Jutra, including BEST FILM.

Pascal also participated to the production of more than 100 commercials, including HITACHI, QATAR AIRWAYS, DANONE, ROGERS, PFIZER, as production manager and line producer.

While exploring television and advertising production, he works with several directors including Simon Lavoie, Mathieu Denis, Frédéric Pelletier, Maxime Giroux, Yvan Grbovic, Guy Édoin.

In 2014, Pascal joins the GO FILMS team as executive producer and producer.

Pierre has an academic background in political science and French writing.  He was editor-checker for, among other things, Guy Connolly publishing services, Trius, Trustar and L'Actualité, then reader at Lux Films.  Since 2006 he is part of the Go Films team.
